BBC three calling all young gardeners for "Young Talent of the Year Show"

Young Gardener of the Year is part of a series that celebrates the working heroes of Great Britain, showcasing the unsung heroes at the heart of Britain, so if you know a talented young gardener aged 16-25 then BBC three would like to here from you. >More details.

 

English Heritage have announced an EH sponsored Conference to be held on 21 June 2011 on the implications of the Flood & Water Management Act 2010.

This is an important opportunity for the historic parks and gardens sector to discuss the implications of the Act on lakes and water features and to work out what action needs to be taken to influence the enabling legislation later this year. >More details.

Sir Joseph Banks Tribute Garden open:

The Sir Joseph Banks Tribute Garden has been opened recently in Horncastle, Lincolnshire by the High Sheriff, Mr John Godfrey, a project commissioned by the fledgling Sir Joseph Banks Society (Patron Sir David Attenborough) to create a community garden to display exotics associated with Banks's discoveries and plant collecting.
