Voluntary
Personal Assistant/Administrator
needed to assist the Chairman of WorldWide Gardens
Weekend, which works to enlist towns and cities throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world, to
organise Open Gardens and Parks Days/Weekends on the
same weekend each year. The gardens and parks include communal and community
gardens, gardens of commercial premises and historic buildings, ecclesiastical
and museum gardens, some public gardens and parks, allotments, roof gardens.
The event will be similar to the Heritage Open Days event, held for buildings
in September throughout Europe, but opening
gardens, when they are usually at their best.
This
is an exciting new project and the post would suit someone with enthusiasm,
flair, energy and good IT and other secretarial skills. One day a week required
at present, although this may change with the growth of the project. The post
holder should live, preferably, on the western side of London and be prepared to work from home for
most of the time. Regrettably there are no funds available, at present, to pay
travel and other expenses, but funding is being sought.
