Penllergare - A Victorian Paradise

In its heyday the Penllergare estate, on the outskirts of Swansea, was an outstanding example of a picturesque landscape created for the enjoyment of its owners. Its creator was John Dillwyn Llewelyn distinguished in his contribution to horticulture and landscape design.

Hampshire Register of Historic Parks and Gardens

A working list of recorded sites, published in June 2000 to coincide with the seminar held in Winchester.  The Register includes lists and maps of historic parks and gardens of interest for each of the district authorities in Hampshire.  The introduction includes sections on the establishment of the Register, and the conservation and protection of historic parks and gardens, illustrated with photographs.  It has a plastic binder to enable future issues and additions to be added.

A landscape history of part of the parish of Knebworth in Hertfordshire, revealing the location of the medieval park and then describing the development of the Knebworth Park which replaced it, from the 17th century to the present day.
